HEALTH UP

HealthUp is a food delivery app for users who are health-conscious or athletes who are trying to focus on their diet.
HealthUp aims to help people with their health journey through fun and interactive features like Spin the Wheel, and Friend Feed while providing services that allow customers to find restaurants that serve healthy food that suits their diet.
My Role
HealthUp is a project assigned by iXperience where I was placed in a group of five students. Our goal was to create a prototype of a food delivery app through the descriptions from our client company (in this case, the other group).
We were given different focuses on creating the prototype. My task was to create the following:

Through designing a user journey, we were able to obtain the process of ordering through the app by understanding the user’s emotions and thoughts on each phases. Thus, helping us construct ideal features to meet those needs and create a practical app.

After conducting research, we began our design process. Creating our crazy8s, sketching detailed features, and developing our low-fidelity prototypes. We traced back to our research and analyzed whether our Crazy8s have met the needs of our clients and consumers. With several missing pieces unsolved, we began sketching out detailed features the app should have in order to enhance the user experience.

User’s favorites which consists of stores they’ve liked.
Page where users can manage their dietary plans. This could be confusing at the beginning, so we included details and steps to help new users.

We included a map to help increase user experience especially those who are visual learner users
Enlarging the map will allow users to navigate the stores nearest to their location. Clicking on them will also enable them to get more information.
Spin the Wheel
This interactive feature allows users to expand their choices. Especially when they are stuck or bored with their usual options.
Every time they click on the ‘spin’ button, new restaurants will appear in a shuffling order. However, the stores that will appear are within a certain miles radius.
Friend Feed
Friend Feed is another interactive feature that allow users to connect with their friends and other users in a way where they can share pictures and reviews of their previous experience with a store.
CONCLUSION
By the end of the process, we were amazed by the work we put in and the result we created, especially in a short amount of time. Although there were some drawbacks, we were able to meet our client’s criteria of creating a healthy food delivery app. Some of the drawbacks that we still have is on the design area, more specifically on ‘tracking the orders’ on the ‘Home’ page. I think that we can improve the visuals to be more pleasing to the eye.
